Electrical Installation Condition Report Testing
A Commercial Electrical Installation Condition Report assesses and reports on the condition of the electrical installations within a commercial property to adhere to safety and compliance. To ensure compliance with building safety regulations for your healthcare facility, we can conduct EICR Testing by completing comprehensive Fixed Wire Tests to provide you with the appropriate documentation. We also offer Health and Safety Executive (HSE) PAT Testing to ensure the safety of portable appliances.
Building Safety & Fixed Wire Test
All commercial premises are legally required to complete EICR Testing every five years, with a Fixed Wire Test. This includes doctors’ surgeries, medical centres, pharmacies, and care homes. The test assesses the condition of the hard wiring throughout the building, including wiring from the fuse board to all light fittings, switches, plug sockets, and any other hard-wired equipment without a three-pin plug, like hand dryers or fridges. It must be conducted by NAPIT-accredited electricians and may necessitate remedial works to meet the required standard.
The cost of the testing, along with any necessary repairs, can be a significant expense at times, depending on the age, condition, and number of electrical circuits in your building. Commercial EICR Testing & Report
The Electrical Installation Condition Report will outline all areas that need improvement and provide you with the necessary steps to ensure compliance with BS 7671:2018 (IET Wiring Regulations) as amended to 2022. After the required works are done, you will be informed of any remedial works identified during the EICR Testing. These can range from replacing broken or cracked plug sockets and light switches, to addressing exposed wiring or replacing fuse boards.
